I'm Scottish, the son of a policeman, and grew up in Lanarkshire which bumps right up against the City of Glasgow, and that was where I cultivated my love for the city.

Being able to write about Glasgow and Glaswegians is such a pleasure, and weaving their characters and voices into a story for others to enjoy is a true privilege.​​
